The first weeks of self-build at Church Grove
The RUSS project at 12 Church Grove in Ladywell has been shaped by future residents from the start: co-designing the building, sharing ideas, defining principles, raising funds, building a community, advocating for CLTs, building the community hub… And now a group of future residents have picked up tools and materials to work on their own homes.
The Church Grove project and its community
The Church Grove Project is a pilot scheme to create sustainable, community-led neighbourhoods and truly affordable homes. It is intended to provide a replicable model that involves local people and residents in addressing the housing crisisand building vibrant, connected neighbourhoods.
