If you want to find out more about what we do and how to get involved, come to one of our community meetings – which will be moving online for a period this Spring.
Call for Trustees
We’re looking to recruit new trustees and a board secretary to join our board of trustees this summer.
Our trustees help drive our vision to build sustainable communities of genuinely affordable housing, and pass on our model through our school and events.
Who we’re looking for
We’re particularly keen to welcome applicants with experience in social housing, property development, community engagement, law, finance, project funding, membership development, communications, IT, education, or fund-raising/grants.
RUSS seeks to reflect the community it operates in – so we’re especially keen to recruit Trustees from the BAME community. We aim to have an equal gender mix on the Board, and would welcome applicants with disabilities.
Above all, we want Trustees who are committed to our aims and are willing to put in some real time to help us achieve them!
How to apply
To apply, email firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy of your CV and a short covering letter telling us why you’re interested in the role and setting out your relevant background and skills. Feel free to get in touch with any questions ahead of applying.
The deadline for applications is 1st June 2020.
Become a RUSS member
Becoming a RUSS member is simple, affordable and directly contributes to making our vision a reality. As a Community Land Trust, membership takes the form of a non-profit community share purchase. Each share costs £1. Being a community shareholder gives you a say in how we are run and entitles you to a range of benefits.
We are a volunteer-led organisation. We’re always on the lookout for people who want to contribute to our work and vision of affordable and sustainable community-led housing.
If you have ideas about other ways you could contribute to our work, please email email@example.com
