The RUSS Community Hub was built by more than 90 volunteers during the summer of 2019. It provides a flexible community/work space that is approximately 7m x 5m (together with a small kitchenette and toilet facilities).

The building now functions as RUSS’s main administrative base.  It is also available to hire to organisations or individuals seeking an affordable, eco-friendly and vibrant work space or events space. For the latest updates, see Hub news.

In addition the Hub also hosts most of our School of Community-Led Housing training workshops.

The building was financed by more than 320 people, who donated through a crowd-funding initiative. RUSS also secured a major grant from the Mayor of London and other donations from CDS Co-operatives, the Span Trust, the Ladywell Assembly and the Screwfix Foundation.

RUSS is grateful to Habitat for Humanity, Jon Broome Architects, Weston Williamson + Partners, Footwork, Bringelly, Viridor, Otago Consulting, Paul Owen Associates and Ramboll for their support.
