We are hosting on Open Weekend at Sanford Housing Co-op on the 8th and 9th of December. Titled “A Positive Development- Watergate”, we will be discussing our proposal to regenerate an empty site in Lewisham into a Carbon Negative, Energy Plus, Zero Waste social housing project.

We have a host of exciting speakers confirmed discussing a range of issues from sustainable architecture, the self-build model and apprenticeships, plus much much more.

Saturday 8th December:
11am Introduction from RUSS and Living Space
11.20 am Jon Broom – the potential of Self-building and its history in Lewisham
11.40 am Tony Rich – the social benefit of apprenticeships
12am Q&A Open Discussion about the project. The aim is to highlight any issues or potential problems that need to be addressed.

2.30 pm FILM – ‘There’s No Tomorrow’ – Post Carbon Institute
3pm Dave Daye – First hand account of the transformative power of self-build, social housing project in Lewisham.

12am Design Workshop lead by Gary Grant, Q&A and discussion of potential SOLUTIONS to problems and issues raised.
