The RUSS AGM at the end of April in Ladywell was busy and well-attended. The lead presentation and full minutes are presented below.

A key item on the agenda was the announcement of new Co-Chairs for RUSS – Kwame Lowe and Anurag Verma. Anurag addressed the meeting, giving a short presentation the Co-Chairs had written together reflecting on the past year and the challenges of the year to come – one in which RUSS hopes to move forward with the Church Grove Project. Kwame sent a video message to the attending members because he is temporarily in France for an assignment.

Anurag also gave thanks to all outgoing board members on behalf of RUSS, this included Kareem Dayes retiring from the Chair position and Trustees Alice Graham and Tony Rich. He also welcomed new board member Megan Ancliffe, who has played a very active role in the Self-Build Community Hub project.

A thank you round of applause was given to all RUSS volunteers! A prize draw was held including the 22 members attending who had volunteered within the last year, with five names drawn out of a hat to receive a South London Club card.

With the official business over, attendees headed over to the Church Grove Project site where they heard about the history of the site, the new development and the community hub.
