A chance to join a walking tour around one of Walter Segal’s self-build community housing projects in Lewisham, south London. The small estate was designed by Segal and built in the 1980s by the residents as part of a council self-build housing project.
We will invite attendees to learn about the Rural Urban Synthesis Society and its current Segal-inspired community housing project at Church Grove and to meet the architects involved in this.
The afternoon includes a workshop on Cradle to Cradle design by one of the residents who has upgraded his Segal home using Cradle to Cradle and Passivhaus principles.
