Newsflash 27 June 2024: there is now one room available in a shared flat. Please see below for details of how to apply.
The two shared flats at 12 Church Grove each have three double bedrooms, a spacious living room and shared kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet, high speed fibre connection for broadband and outside space on the walkway.

Residents need to meet the eligibility requirements for Church Grove on local connection, income and community involvement. See the Allocations Policy.
RUSS keeps a waiting list of people interested in a room in the shared flats. In the event of a vacancy, RUSS will contact people on the list to offer the room, in the order in which they were added to the list. To join the waiting list, please complete an Expression of Interest form and email it to allocations@theruss.org
The six rooms were initially allocated by ballot. One room was allocated in the 2016 ballot. Names for the 5 remaining rooms were drawn by ballot at the RUSS Board of Trustees on 31 August 2023.
The landlord for the shared flats is CDS Cooperatives.
Can I apply with friends?
Pairs or groups of friends can either apply as individuals (each person gets one chance) or as a cluster. Each cluster gets one chance. If a trio is drawn in position 1, 2 or 3 in the ballot – all three members of the trio will be offered a room. If a pair is drawn in position 1,2,3 or 4 in the ballot – both members of the pair will be offered a room. If a trio is drawn in fourth or fifth position, they can remain on the waiting list as a trio, but they will not be offered rooms in this round. Similarly, if a pair is drawn in fifth position, they can remain on the waiting list, but they will not be offered rooms in this round. Make sure you indicate your choice when emailing allocations@theruss.org
How much will it cost?
The rent is around £120 per week. In addition, each household organises and pays for utilities for the flat (electic, internet, TV licence, metred hot water).
How big are the rooms?
Below are plans for the two flats.
